"Simple to use and straightforward"

Ron Shapiro, Professor of surgery at the Thomas E. Starzl Institute of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center discusses the recently published multicenter study of Absorbers' endothelial crossmatch, XM-ONE, at a video blog at Medscape.com. Professor Shapiro refers to the test as very simple to use and straightforward. He further states that anti-endothelial cell antibodies has been a difficult area and says that the development of XM-ONE is very interesting and important in the clinical care of kidney transplant patients and potentially also other organ transplant recipients.

Background

AbSorber's transplantation crossmatch test XM-ONE® was evaluated in a large clinical study and the results are now published in the prestigious international medical journal "Transplantation". The study shows that XM-ONE® contributes valuable information that refines the diagnostics for finding the right organ for the right patient, thereby increasing the probability of a successful transplantation. Four U.S. and two Swedish well-reputed hospitals participated in the multicenter trial. For further information about the multicenter study please visit previous press releases.
